Granted, I'm not expecting grand sums here just enough to be able to buy fuel/items to keep the POS afloat and have some pocket money, as in 10 mil extra a month is a good month. This will give me time to gain some practical expereince with the concept and function of the POS whilst I determine if it is something I want to do and not risk too much on more profitable but riskier operations and set ups.
Also, can corp mates be barred access and not be fired upon, I've read to many horror stories of pos theft to want to leave anything to chance on my first venture into this expensive gamble. If fact, If possible, I shant be telling my corpmates where it is at first. Does the POS send out any mail items to the CEO? I really just want this to be a secretive as possible while by butt is hanging in the wind as i learn this aspect of eve.
Now Ideally, I'd like something fairly common, as in something that can likely be gathered from the same moon or at worst moons in close proximity be it same system or within a couple jumps. Common element reactions that can eek out a minor profit.
Also, how bonkers need I go with defense on a low yield OP? Meaning is it better to have a 2-4 batteries and a low key set up with a couple harvesters, silos, and the odd reactor and coupler so that anyone that does come across my POS gets the impression that their not much value in the moon? Or does the existence of a POS on a moon at all make it a target so parking more structures and defenses is really the only prudent course of action?
For reference I'm planing on a tower near the western side of the game-verse, and I'm told by a corpmate that oxygen isotopes are the ones gained from the ice mining there. So naturally I will be using the CT that requires that fuel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! And for reference I've 125 mil I can risk on this venture.
